I’d give anything(almost) to be in Washington right now...all my flowers are blooming and it’s so much Cooler than our hundred degrees in Arizona! Also I believe you have less Coronvirus cases than hot ol Arizona. I remember you from Clarendon days...you were quite the athlete! Hope all is well with you and yours. West is Best! Penny (Axson)
Soo sorry I will miss Jordan’s gathering...eat an enchilada for me. I am enjoying the view of Tucson foothills from my 7th story penthouse window of Banner Main as I just got 2 stints in my heart ?? I Feel like Felice At our 50th reunion...These hospitals get you in and won’t let you out. Hi to everyone gathering at Jordan’s. Boohoo! Til we meet again Best Penny
I wish I had known Patricia Leonardo! She looks so familiar...like we passed in the halls at West High. She seems like everyone’s friend. She will be missed. My condolences to her family and friends. Thankyou for sharing her story. It makes one want to be better. Best, Penny
I am just now returning from a Broadway marathon wanted to let you know that you were right...”Come From Away “ was by far my favorite! I thought it was probably due to my Canadian roots but at the end of the play the entire audience were on their feet clapping and doing a jig to the fun Newfoundland band. It was awesome ??
Thanks for the thumbs up ?? I was there with four College friends and each chose their own favorite production...so we saw Hamilton, Chicago, Lion King and Frozen...technology was so great! I am in Denver on my way home ?? to Spokane Valley Wa. I’ll return to Arizona October 30 when the weather gets cold. Hope all is well with you and yours...’til the next West High reunion. Best, Penny
Thanks to all who worked on this last mini-reunion to be such a success and appreciation to those that were in attendance...we were few but mighty “great”! Who knew that Ben Schaub was human lol...and Lee Giurlanda, I’m glad we look so good to you. You're a man who sees with his heart! I echo Robert Fortson’s comments that it was the people of West High that made it great! Thanks to our fearless leaders...Carl, don’t be thinking of passing the baton...you’ve got a lifetime calling there. Keep up the good work. It’s appreciated. Maybe you can get Mark to make the job “pay off.” John Lumm started the “true confessions.” Who knew? It was so great seeing (not so clearly without my glasses) and visiting with many classmates. Thank you for condolences expressed in my behalf of my recent loss...I felt the love and sincere concern. Until we meet again and I hope it won’t be too long before the next reunion. Best to all, Penny
